A Brief Introduction
Born in Tiraspol, Moldova and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, the cherished traditions of textile and fiber art played a pivotal role in shaping my identity as an artist. It led to a personal rediscovery of familial customs and traditions while intersecting with new experimental art practices as a US citizen. As a seamstress and lifelong learner of the craft, my mother taught me that fiber belongs to the masses and to celebrate the sacred relationship we hold with this medium. My work explores this intimate and commonplace relationship between society and fiber, while challenging the dissociation of the medium in a traditional gallery setting. Learn more.
